Grain Coastal Park offers the persevering visitor a remarkable range of exciting features. Walk along the two miles of shoreline, see ancient forts and cross to the Tower at low tide, or explore the secluded leafy woodland, open glades and shrub free patches which host a variety of wild flowers and orchids. If you can make the climb up to the Victorian fort, enjoy the stunning views across the estuary as far as Southend and watch the ships arriving from the deep sea and turn into either River.
