Godolphin wood seems very popular with dog walkers, it's easy going, level with well kept footpaths and a bridge with a unique "dog ramp" (see the photos). I was told by some of the local visitors to the wood that the wood is a must for a spring visit to see the masses of bluebells. Nearby Godolphin House has recently been acquired by the National Trust, it was fully open to the public when in private hands but the NT are carrying out major refurbishment work when I was there in 2011.
