Glenlivet - Defence Wood

Defence Wood on the Glenlivet Estate was planted recently as part of Woodland Trust commemorations of the 200th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar. This idea of this project was to represent the number of trees cut down to build and furnish the British fleet in 1805. It is a native woodland, planted with help from Glenlivet Primary School.
