Glencryan Woodland

These large woods are situated in Forest Road on the outskirts of Cumbernauld. There is a small parking area just by the woods with an interpretation panel at the site detailing the history of the woods. Wide foot paths throughout the site. Mixed woodland with some ancient trees. Foot path leads onto Palacerigg Country Park which is waymarked. Good wood for birds and on my walk I saw woodpeckers, bull finches and goldcrests. Good views too and well worth a visit,
