Glenan Woods is one of the few remaining native oak woodlands in the area, close to Glenan Bay. The views from the top of the wood are worth a little clambering for, down to the wild and rocky Glenan Bay. If you're feeling fit, you can carry on up the forest path to an old deserted village of Glenan. It's a haunting place that dates back to 1309. The paths are well connected but can be boggy underfoot.
