Glen Varagill Forest

A large forest on the main road A87 on the outskirts of Portree. Mainly a conifer plantation owned and managed by the Forestry Commission. Waymarked foot paths throughout with picnic tables. Beautiful views of Loch Portree and surrounding countryside. All facilities to be found at the Aros Skye heritage/visitor centre on the main road with plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.
