Four new blocks of native broadleaved woodland have recently been planted in Gleann Geal (the White Glen). The four compartments have been planted with a mix of downy birch, alder, and rowan, with the balance of sessile oak, ash, and hawthorn. They total 65 hectares, and enclose almost 100,000 new trees. Elsewhere in the Glen there is a commercial conifer plantation which will be bordered with broadleaf trees in 2014.
