This woodland is brand new and should be a delightful place to visit in years to come. The scheme comprises 25 acres of mixed broadleaf/conifer woodland some nature conservation rich wetland adjacent to Gilwiskaw Brook. The objective, and one that is unique to this scheme, is the inclusion of trees (such as particularly "white" varieties of Silver birch and "red" Horse chestnuts), which will stand out for the partially sighted and make this a vibrant and colourful wood.
