Ghyll Head Access Area;Birket Houses Allotment

The Ghyll Head area nestles in a small elevated valley overlooking Windermere. It consists of open woodland and grassland, perfect for running around or getting back to nature. There are several good footpaths through the area, although terrain may be muddy in wet weather. There is also a small fish pond and the larger Ghyll Head Reservoir, which is popular for trout fishing.
