A site adjoining the canal and River Frome on the south edge of Stroud. Frome Banks (currently owned by the county council) has been managed as a nature Reserve by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and Stroud Valleys Project for over two decades with bats, kingfishers and otters utilising the site plus a wide variety of wetland plants and birds. A permissive footpath runs along the river forming part of the popular Stroud circular walk ' The W.A.S Way.
