Formerly a drift mine, landscaped in 1991 and transformed into a country park consisting of wide open spaces, woodland, grassland and ponds. Water vole have been recorded in the park in the past and skylarks, buzzards and meadow pipit are often seen here. It is a valuable wildflower site for the south-east of the district and the ponds are home to a variety of dragonflies.
