The walk around the perimeter of the reservoir is one of the best in the area. Surrounded by mixed, mostly coniferous woodland, the paths are well maintained on the 3.7 mile walk, which is flat virtually all the way round. Additionally the views of the reservoir and the immediate countryside are virtually unobstructed. On a good day the views are spectacular.
