Fairywell Wood

This strip of woodland acts as a green buffer zone between the Broomwood estate and the industrial business park to the East. The council has made it a policy to protect and manage this, and other, woodlands in the area; recognising them as valuable recreational and educational resources, which provide irreplaceable wildlife habitats. A path can be followed alongside Fairywell Brook and, although a little muddy and overgrown initially, improves as the wood opens up heading Southwards.
