Dark Plantation

This wood forms part of the Havannah/Three Hills Nature Reserve which is situated on a former colliery site. As well as the wood itself there a number of open and wetland areas designed to attract a variety of wildlife. Popular activities include walking (with or without a dog), running, cycling and horse riding. There is an excellent combination of paths - some wide bridle paths which are accessible from the car park as well as narrower footpaths for those wishing to explore the woodland.
