These woods are part of the Cream o Galloway visitor centre and organic farm and ice cream factory. The lovely nature trails, comprising newly planted trees (15 years) with a scattering of ancient oaks, pass 2 lochans, where swans and other water wildlife can be seen. The woods are open to the public all year round, with free parking, although the visitor centre and toilets are closed through the winter. There is also a dog walk trail and designated cycle routes.
