This small area of ash and hazel alongside the A470 is as the pictures show a great place to see bluebells. Also on the ground you can see dog violet and varieties of fern. There is a path through the wood but there is no obvious parking space.

Please note that this wood is closed due to ash dieback. Ash dieback is a serious fungal disease that is killing ash trees across Europe. Young trees can die quickly once infected. Older trees can be slowly killed by a yearly cycle of infection. Unfortunately, ash dieback has been found in some of the trees in this wood. In order to keep the wood safe for public use, extensive felling would be required. This would have a major impact on the habitats and species at the wood, as well as costing significant amounts of money. The wood will be closed for a number of years to allow nature to take its course.
