Indicated as Chilswell Copse on the OS maps, this site is Chilswell Valley Nature Reserve on the ground! It's an ash-oak-hazel valley woodland, with a stream running through, reached from the footpath connecting South Hinksey to Boar Hill. Part of the woodland is inaccessible but the south end has an unsurfaced path continuing into the adjacent grassland. From the entrance in the north is an uneven, railway sleeper, boardwalk through a reedbed. From the entrance are views across to Oxford.
