Chartwell

An acidic woodland situated on the side of a steep hill looking out over Winston Churchill's old residence of Chartwell. There has recently been large scale removal of the invasive Rhododendron species, so it is less wooded than it once was. The benefits to the native flora should be seen over the coming years so it will be an interesting site to revisit and observe the improvements.
