The Castle Loch Woodland has a Sculpture Trail with a leaflet and brass rubbings for children. It contains Lochmaben Castle built by Edward 1 of England in the 13 C. The website contains information on the Castle Loch and has downloadable leaflets. Part of the Ananndale Way now skirts the edge of the wood and loch side.
