Parking is in the road outside the lake and is restricted, but there is further parking down the road. There is a good solid path around the lake suitable for wheelchairs/buggies. At the end of the lake, go up some steps and enter a heathland and then into the wood. The wood is fairly wild and untouched. Visitors have left paths to walk on and you can go into medium density woods off the path where few people go. Then down to a boggy area with streams and plants, even wilder. Good for children
