Bowring Park is Knowsley's most historic Municipal Park, gifted by Alderman WB Bowring in 1907 to "the inhabitants of Liverpool". It originates from Roby Hall Estate built in 1761 and contains original Georgian features inc. Walled Garden, Coach House (Visitor Centre) and Stables Block (Golf Facilities). The oldest Municipal Golf Course is also in the Park. The Park's defining feature, however, is its veteran trees and woodlands which reflect the original historic Estate landscape designs.
