Boglea

A large mixed broadleaf woodland at the back of the village of Riggend. Just off A73, down Hulks Road. Site of a former mine with blaze footpaths. Limited parking at site. Some interpretation at entrance explaining how the woods came to be and what wildlife can be found there. Good mixture of trees which are mainly young plantings. Lots of autumn colours and berries on the rowan trees, along with lots of blackberries too. Great views looking across to Kilsyth Hills.
