Blackheath

OS Grid reference: SU035455 Blackheath Common is in the heart of the Surrey Hills; it has large open sandy areas as well as woodland. The soft sand underfoot can be quite tiring so the numerous bench seats become most welcome. There are many gently rising paths which are not too demanding. Points of reference are few and far between, so take a map and compass, or take self-guided notes which you can find if you follow the LINK.
