These twin lochs are, in fact, restored sand and gravel workings. Thanks to the Fife Coast & Countryside Trust, they now offer visitors walking, bird watching, other wildlife spotting and picnics. Birds you can see include wigeon, goosander, redshank, lapwing and oystercatcher. Mammals include otter, vole, bat and red squirrel. Buses from, amongst other places, Stirling and Auchtermuchty run right past the entrance.
