Bintree Woods

A large, peaceful wood with wide grassy rides and a nice view of the wensum valley and Elmham church to east. I regularly see buzzards, kestrels, common darters, admirals and commas in summer. Plenty of fungi in autumn including fly agaric. A bit dense monoculture in places but edges are mixed deciduous and bracken. Parking is along a potholed track on north boundary access via Bintree (Yarrow Road) 4x4 needed. Nowhere to park along Green Lane in SW, park at Billingford village hall and walk.
