Beechen Wood

This small (two hectare) wood boasts a wide variety of semi-mature trees (probably dating from the 19th century) including ash, beech, rowan and oak. Flowers of interest include bluebell, wood anemone and the less common enchanter's nightshade. Nearby grassland contains common mallow and creeping buttercup. Access is via a small parking area in Longcroft Road.
