Beaulieu Heights woodland was part of the Great North Wood but more recently the grounds of two large houses, Hazelwood and Beaulieu Lodge, these 16 acres of woodland and meadow are one of the best kept secrets of Crystal Palace. This beautiful park offers stunning views over the South Downs as it drops down from Church road below the antenna and forms one of the most tranquil havens in Upper Norwood. Volunteer surveys have counted up to 60 different tree species and 52 species of plants and birds, mammal species spotted at the site include muntjac deer, Pipistrelle and Noctule bats.
