Bath Linear Park

This informal park was originally part of the Somerset and Dorset Railway Line which ran from Bath's Green Park Station, to Bournemouth. The line closed in 1966. After considerable construction work and the closure of the tunnel entrance, the area was laid out as a ribbon of countryside through the City and was planted with many indigenous plants. The Linear Park has now become a very popular area for residents, especially for walking and jogging.
