A Tender Scheme winner in 1996, the 30ha Bass Millennium Wood is situated on the Needwood Scarp with excellent views over the Trent Valley to Burton. The meadowland near the car park is of ecological value with some uncommon species such as Adder's Tongue Fern found there.East Staffordshire Borough Council's 'Battlestead and Back' walk passes by the site.
