Close to Belcoo village this forest forms part of a forest area that stretches from Lough MacNean in the west to the shores of Lough Erne below the Magho cliffs in Lough Navar. The Ulster Way passes through this forest and connects with a circular walk within the forest that encompasses the Aghanaglack chambered cairn. The forest is predominantly coniferous with large open bogland tracts and wooded gullies.This forest is included in the UNESCO Marble Arch Global Geopark.
