Visitor announcement: Ashcombe Wood closed to public due to Ash dieback

The decay of the crowns of many of the ash trees over the one permissive path and recent tree collapses have meant we have decided to stop public access during until 2025. Any further updates will feature on this page.

A predominantly ash wood alongside maple elm oak and hazel interspersed with natural springs and a grassland hollow towards the bottom of the wood. The springs allow for localised wet areas within the wood.
