Lochwood might be small but it's packed with veteran gnarly oaks drenched in ferns, mosses & rare lichens. There are few specific paths but the best trees can be enjoyed from a minor road through the wood. Look out for remains of a 15th century castle! Springtime brings a carpet of bluebells across the woodland floor, and a mass of birdsong.
