Alkincoats Park is a large district park in Colne awarded the prestigious Green Flag award in 2013. The park was once an estate owned by the de Alkincoats family. The site became a park in 1921. Species found in the park include nuthatch and woodpeckers and the woodland is a riot of colour in spring when the bluebells appear.
