Whitegrove Copse

This area of ancient woodland is a vital local nature reserve and wildlife site and is actively managed to encourage plants and animals including bluebells, butterflies, crickets, blackcaps, chiffchaffs, coal tits and goldcrests. Trees and shrubs include larch, Douglas fir, Scots pine, hawthorn, hazel and crab apple. The hazel is coppiced to provide sticks for traditional woven fencing. Access is from Harvest Ride.
