WOODLAND WELCOME WOOD
Despite its location, this wood is remarkably secluded with lots of hidden corners. Designated as a SSSI because of its fine example of broad-leaved semi natural woodland, it also boasts many plants such as giant bellflower and early purple orchid. Smooth newts, frogs and toads can also be found in the many ponds in the woods. Its rare habitat make this an excellent place for those with an interest in wildlife.
