Tree Tools for Schools

Our online learning hub – Tree Tools for Schools – is designed to support our free tree packs and includes everything you need to plan, plant and care for your trees.

You can access our Nature Detectives activities here too. From tree ID sheets to nature crafts, you'll find lots of inspiration to take learning outside.

There's a range of interactive activities and printable worksheets, which you can choose to use in the classroom or outdoors. Our resources are linked to the English national curriculum (KS1, KS2 and KS3), but they're suitable for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland too. And you can search by keyword, topic, or curriculum area to easily find what you need.

Why take learning outside?

Outdoor learning has so many benefits, both for individuals and your class as a whole. It improves team working, problem solving, communication and self-esteem; it boosts physical and mental health; and it's a brilliant way to encourage a lifelong love of trees and nature. School assemblies

Inspire your pupils with our KS2 and KS3 assemblies. Choose between the uplifting story of The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono, or explore the many benefits of trees and woods with 'The power of trees'.

We provide free PowerPoint presentations and scripts to help you deliver them. Our assemblies can also support your school’s tree-planting activities.
