This case study looks at the restoration of Fingle Woods in Devon in a partnership between the Woodland Trust and National Trust.
The work involves gradually removing maturing conifer to return the wood to broadleaves, but in a way that protects and enhances the habitat of the dormice living there.
It also provided the opportunity to monitor them and observe their behaviours and feeding habits.
