This case study looks at the problem of deteriorating water quality which was threatening the survival of freshwater pearl mussels in the River Clun.
The study explains why the water quality was deteriorating and the challenges involved in redressing the problem.
Key was the planting of more than 6,250 trees to stabilise the river bank, with project partners and local people working together.
