The Woodland Trust believes all ancient and veteran trees should be valued and protected.
These trees of special interest (TSIs) are often the most valuable trees in the UK. TSIs also support wildlife and add cultural, historic and aesthetic value to our landscape.
This Woodland trust position statement considers what can be done to encourage future generations of these important trees.
