This research report explores The Pontbren Project, set up by a group of neighbouring upland farmers in Wales.
It explains how introducing woodland management and tree planting on their livestock farms not only improved efficiency, it brought many other benefits too.
The evidence gathered is now informing land use and policy decisions far beyond the farms involved.
