Wray Woodlands - Wray Castle

This is a group of separate woods owned and run the National Trust. Low Wray Wood is a campsite, open for part of the year, camping is available in various areas in the woods, meadows or on the shore of Lake Windermere. High Wray wood is around High Wray Castle, a house built in the style of a castle and currently being hired out by the Trust as a hotel. The woods around the castle are still open to the public and were one of the areas frequented by Beatrix Potter due to the many species of fun
