Woodhall

Woodhall (shown as Black Wood on the OS map) is one of several woods on the outskirts of Pencaitland. It is very easy to reach from the Pencaitland Railway Walk, has its own car park and a few picnic tables. The tree cover is predominantly birch but there are a few young oaks and some mature conifers. There is a very good path network and this is a great place to get some shade on a hot day or some shelter when it is windy.
