This is a mature wooded valley local nature reserve (LNR) in the village of Wick. The trees of English oak, beech, ash, whitebeam lime and wild service tree are a remnant of the ancient Kingswood royal hunting forest. There is bluebell cover im the spring and waymarked paths, the Red one leading to an Ochre quarry and large weir. Parking is in the village hall car park about 50 yards up the road next to the Rose & Crown Pub.
