Westlaw Wood

Westlaw Wood lies on the east side of the River Derwent Valley between Consett and Ebchester in County Durham. It is an Ancient Semi-natural Woodland and Site of Nature Conservation Importance.

Announcement:

Following a sewage discharge in the wood, some pumping equipment has been installed. We are working with Northumbria Water and the Environment Agency to resolve this issue long-term. Please follow any diversion notices in the wood until further notice. Thanks for your cooperation.
