West Mains Farm

Just outside the village of West Calder on A71, turn left onto A704 heading towards Lanark. Take first turning on left-hand side of road with wood on corner of junction. Small layby is located a few metres up the road. Mixed plantation of young trees with wide grass track throughout. Also lots of open meadows with a good variety of wildflowers, good for insects. Good views of the surrounding countryside with views of the Pentland Hills.
