Stantons Wood

Stanton's Wood was created in 1999 as part of the National Forest tender scheme. It is a mixed woodland with broad open rides through it which link well to the existing network of bridleways. Best accessed from Ingleby Lane in Ticknall (cars can be parked at the Village Hall which also has toilet facilities; the village shop also provides refreshments). To avoid walking on the busy narrow lane take Chapel Street and approach across the meadow via the public footpath.
