Runnymede - Cooper's Hill Woods

This large (87-acre) broad-leaved wood contains varied trees, plants and animals including ancient oaks, bluebells, noctule bats and green woodpeckers. It forms part of a circular walk that takes in famous landmarks including Magna Carta, Commonwealth Air Forces and Kennedy Memorials. Steep parts are negotiated by steps with handrails. Free parking (and toilets) is in Cooper's Hill Lane car park. Turn right and walk past (or visit) the Air Forces Memorial. The wood's entrance is on the left.
