A small wood and open parkland with mature trees, mainly beech, alongside the B6226 Horwich-Bolton road opposite Park Reservoir situated in Wallsuches Conservation Area with the former Wallsuches Bleachworks at its core. Splendid displays of daffodils in April. Ridgmont House was built in the 17th Century by the Pilkington family. Originally called The White House until 1801 when Joseph Ridgway, owner of the bleach works on the opposite side of Chorley Old Road, bought and extended the house.
