ROYAL PARKS WOOD
Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation. By far the largest of London's Royal Parks, it was created by Charles I in 1634 as a deer park and now has over 600 red and fallow deer. The Park is an important site for ancient trees, particularly oaks, which have great historic and wildlife importance. The Isabella Plantation is an ornamental woodland garden, full of exotic plants, that is designed to be interesting.
