Petersburn Woods

These woods are located in Petersburn just outside Airdrie right beside a large housing estate. Limited parking at site so I parked nearby and walked to woods. There are several entrances with wide blaze paths. The woods form part of the North Heritage Walk. Lovely woods with paths winding down to gorge and river with a good mix of broadleaf trees,including some ancient trees such as oak and beech. Waymarked throughout woods. Popular with locals as access is very easy from neighbouring houses.
